The invention refers to a biosensor for the rapid and easy diagnosis of liver cancer by qualitatively and quantitatively determining the tumor marker – alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) directly from the blood (without the need for serum separation). 9. Szczegółowy opis wynalazku Detailed description of the invention The sensor-sensitive part is represented by the functionalized graphene with anti-alpha-fetoprotein monoclonal antibody that is deposited on the surface of the surface acoustic wave sensor (SAW) by direct laser-induced transfer (LIFT). The procedure for making the sensor for the detection of AFP, according to the invention, consists in the fact that the technique of direct transfer induced by the laser, in the air, is used for the transfer of a thin pixel of graphene functionalized with monoclonal anti-alpha-fetoprotein antibody to the golden electrodes following irradiation with the laser beam with KrF in the UV at the fluency of 100 mJ/cm2. The invention allows the monitoring of the concentration of this protein in other environments, than the hospital one, and may lead to continuous monitoring of the concentrations of this protein with major effects on the diagnosis of cancer. The problem that the invention solves is to obtain a biosensor for the detection of small amounts of AFP by an easy and inexpensive method compared to the methods currently used for the detection of this protein.
